Australia tour of South Africa 2009(Part 2)
2nd Test Analysis
South Africa are 1-0 down in the series and they need to win this match to stay alive in the series. Both the sides fielded unchanged teams and once again Australia are without a frontline spinner.
Match Summary:
Australia won the toss and elected to bat first(most obvious choice!). The Australian openers blazed their way and registered a 184-run opening stand. Both the openers scored centuries and Michael Hussey made a much needed fifty. Their last six wickets fell for 23 runs and Australia managed 352. In the first over of South Africa's first innings two wickets fell and soon they lost their captain, Graeme Smith, retired. He wont be available for the remainder of the series. And soon they became 6/3 after losing AB devillers. Only JP Duminy restored pride to their innings by scoring an unbeaten 73. And Australia once again didn't enforce follow-on after getting a lead of 212 runs.
Australia again batted well in the second innings. After Phil Hughes scored a century in the second innings, he became the youngest batsman to score 2 centuries in the same test match. Ricky ponting scored a quick 81 to set South Africa an imposing target of 546 runs. Without Smith, South Africa can never chase that target, which is 125+ runs more than the world record total. But they got a sniff after Kallis and devillers scored 187 runs for the third wicket. After that Australia's victory was never in doubt. South Africa managed highest score in the match, 370 runs. Australia won the match by 175 runs and series, and avenge their home series defeat. Australia will retain Numero Uno status after South Africa threatened to grab it.

Result:Australia won by 175 runs. Australia have an unassailable lead 2-0 in the 3 match series.
Turning Point: The initial five overs of South African first innings where they lost Smith and 3 quick wickets.
Man of the Match performance: Phil Hughes for his twin centuries.

Mafia Wars in Facebook
Hi,
I am addicted to online RPG*(see below) again. Earlier I used to play LOL(Lords of Legend) and its fun. Every RPG needs a lot of understanding about the background information, strategies, tactics and lot of mouse clicking. You should spend a lot of before the computer frequently.
Now-a-days I started playing Mafia Wars in Facebook. After I opened an account in Facebook, this game is the sole reason I login Facebook everyday. This game closely resembles Mario Puzo's masterpiece novel 'The Godfather'. Basically in this game you are the don of the family and you have to rule the crime empire. You have to do several street thugs jobs and enhance your experience. You fight with another criminals and defeat them to earn money and experience. You construct many buildinɡs, hotels and earn rent on them. You buy guns, armour and vehicles to expand your dark empire. In this game there is the concept of clan also. This game differs from LOL in many ways, but the central idea is same: Improve your character.
Two years back, I used to play this LOL game. I took a while to learn all the tricks and strategies and after that I used to play it daily. This game possesses close resemblance to JRR Tolkien's trilogy novel 'The Lord of the Rings'. First you have to choose your race: Humans, Elves, Draconians, Dark Elves, Orcs, Undead and you are the warlord of a kingdom. You have to manage your army, defend the kingdom, repel the enemies and help your clan to glory. You have to attack enemies and gain gold and experience points. Using gold, you can buy mercenaries, train your troops, build defence, construct buildings and expand your empire. With experience points you can increase your level. You can join a clan and help your clan reach the top position. I played for 'Fellowship of Angel' clan, and its nice to play alongside them. They had a very nice website, www.fellowshipofangel.com, which is not available now. We finished Top10 at the end of the round.
*RPG means Role Playing Game. In this the player assumes the role of the character and helps to improve the character. Participants determine the actions of their characters based on their characterisation and the actions succeed or fail according to a formal system of rules and guidelines. Within the rules, players have the freedom to improvise; their choices shape the direction and outcome of the game.

1st Test Analysis
Australia entered South Africa with a depleted squad than the one that lost the series in Australia. This is more obvious in the selection of their final XI where three debutants (Phil Hughes, Marcus North and Ben Hilfenhaus ) were picked. Whereas South Africa retained their final XI for the last 4 matches. After I started watching cricket, this is the first time Australia have started as underdogs. South Africa failed to live upto their expectations.
Match Summary:
Australia have won the toss and elected to bat first. I don't know when Ricky Ponting will elect to field first,a quick stat, out of 23 times he won the toss he choose to bat 21 times. Phil Hughes opened in the place of retired mathew Hayden along with Simon Katich. Dale steyn struck in his first over by removing Hughes. Australia managed 466 due to the Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke initial heroics and some late order batting by Marcus North, Brad Haddin and Mitchell Johnson. Johnson struck Paul Harris for 26 runs in one over. In reply South Africa collapsed for 220, thanks to AB devillers century. Australia ensured a lead of 246.
Quite predictably, Ricky Ponting didn't enforce follow-on. And Australia collapsed from 99/1 to 99/4 and were bowled out for 202. This is a blessing in disguise to them as they allowed themselves enough time to bowl out South Africa. The target for South Africa is 454. This is same ground where South Africa chased down Australia's daunting total of 434 in the ODI. Smith and Mckenzie started off cautiously against the new ball. Middle-order didn't come up with strong partnerships and were bowled out for 291.

The Three Debutants :
- Phil Hughes went for a duck in the first innnigs and made amends in the second innings scoring 75 runs against some hostile bowling from the world's best pace attack. He was twice out gloving the ball legside. In both the occasions, Smith was reluctant to go for the referral. Since Hughes knew that he was out, he should have left the crease. A typical Australian behaviour!
- Marcus North scored century in the first innings and got a wicket. An incredible feat. He was selected ahead of McGain, for his six wicket haul in the practice match. He didn't impress with his bowling but surely did with his batting.
- Ben Hilfenhaus bowled well with the new ball swinging both ways. His match figures read 56-16-126-3. Excellent for a debutant. He applied pressure at crucial moments of the match. He is good swing bowler, looking forward to watch him when the ball doesn't swing.

He is teaming up with B.Gopal , Nandamuri Andagadu "BalaKrishna" and Herione VijayaSanthi ( yes there she iz , kartavyam vijayasanthi's come back !) Wanna know about the story details , keep reading and enjoy ... The story is "free - make" to recent bollywood flick Rang De Basanthi , the crew recently registered balayya movie as "Rangu ivvu Santhi" .... With tag line "A generation Acts !!" Star Cast , Five Collegeates being BalaKrishna(Aamir Khan role) and rest of the chaps being Jr NTR ,Tarak Ratna, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram , the cool gal role being played by VijayaSanthi , guess the role of Madavan , its none other than "Tiger " Nanda Muri Hari Krishna ... Producer Ambika Krishna is planning to bring HollyWood Graphic Aritistes to make Digital Imaging of Sr NTR for a cameo role for the Flash Back scenes ... Music Director Mani Sharma composes nine groovy tunes , the title song being again a mass song , " Rangula Santhi , Hangula Santhi .. Pongulu Isthava .. " a peppy number being canned on balayya babu in virgin foriegn locations of recently layed FootPaths in East Africa (as per our film reporter )Muhurat Shot being shot recently with some cool collegeates flirting and dancing in the suburbs of hyderabad and some shouting their hart throb hero "Chimpu Chimpu ... " ( Balayya's youthfulname in movie) , he is seen drinking "Kallu seesa" with Jr NTR climbing on a rock and bending behind ( one shud see RDB , to know what ballayya is trying to do ..) Although controversies from Blue Cross are heard for BGopal ordered several hundreds of monkeys for some vital scenes ... Ambika krishna denied any such allegations .. Ambika Krishna arranged a press meet after the muhurat shot , where balayya expressed his confidence that film wud run 300 days in 300 centers all over world .. Hari krishna expressed his happiness for working with his entire family ..Jr NTR said he has been waiting for the right script and atlast they all cud do it .. B Gopal kept a low profile and wanted his work to speak , even Vijaya santhi left early and said she wud speak on 300 days celebrations ...Stay tuned .
